What does the app do?
ROC guides you to train like a Tactical Athlete today and be ready for anything tomorrow by challenging yourself to be greater than yesterday. The app monitors development, forecasts training, and allows you to compete against yourself, others in your city and around the world.

ROC takes the guessing out of training and provides you with the most optimal pathway to develop. It specifies the exact resistance, reps, sets, tempo, rest, time distance and speed to suit you and your unique needs. The challenge will improve your core stability, strength, power, speed, and muscular endurance. As well as reducing the likelihood of muscular skeletal injuries. ROC is also aimed at improving tactical tests and assessments for those taking their first or next step in tactical athlete development. The app will cover the tests found on AOSB, selection for both regular and reserves military, Police and Fire Service; including the 2km best effort, beep test, PES, RFTs, and 1.5mile best effort alongside many more.
About the head coach
Coach Mike Chadwick is a former Parachute Regiment, Special Forces Support Group (SFSG) operator and Royal Army Physical Training Corps (RAPTC) instructor. He holds a BSc in Coaching and has helped to reshape the way in which the British Military trains today. He now coaches full time with athletes ranging from top 10 UFC fighters to international Special Forces units.

Best on the market by far After following Mike Chadwick on Instagram for a while and seeing his success in preparing people for uk military, when I decided to apply for the Royal Marines I thought his app would provide the best platform to meet the standards required. Personalised workouts are ideal and I’ve made real progress in my strength and running. Completing test week 2 I ran the fastest 3 miler I’ve ever done. Customer support is also top class. You’re able to contact Mike with questions through the community on Facebook, such as when I asked him if the app was suitable for RM, and he suggested some extra things to help me on the journey. In the 7 weeks or so that I’ve been using the app there’s already been 2 updates and the developers seem genuinely committed to solving any issues with the app, not that I’ve had any so far, and improving it, such as the latest update for loaded marches. Honestly great value for money and my only wish is that I’d started sooner

Best programme I have experienced I was recommended this app by another coach and it has been the best thing I have purchased this year. I am hoping to begin Sandhurst within the next year and this app is helping me get fit. It helps with consistency of training, variation, competitiveness and optimisation and cannot recommend it enough to anyone looking to join or serving or generally looking to get more focussed training.

Faultless App, Great Team Behind it I’m new to the app- The app is very simple to navigate but has huge amounts of functionality in the background, tailoring the programme you’re given based off of fitness test results and available equipment (this is the only fitness app I’ve that takes into account the equipment you’ve got). The programme looks excellent so far. I can’t fault Mike’s attitude to me as a user- He’s very honest, he’s not there to sell dreams to get custom, I know the process, and I’m confident that, if followed, it’ll work very well. I’ll update this as I get further into the programme.

Getting ready for the paras. This app helped me increase my fitness across all levels with increases in PR each test week. It also helped me increase my bleep test scores in order to hit the required level for joining the paras. I am confident that coach Mike will get me pass PRAC and into depot training and ultimately the red beret. Coach mike is also reachable through Facebook message, which to me being able to ask questions relating to both fitness and career wise is already the deal breaker for me compared to generic fitness programs.

Brilliant app. All exercises have a video demonstration and written explanation detailing technique etc which is very helpful. The program is built around your scores in Week 1 (test week) and then you receive a fully customised training plan. A good demo explaining how to use the app fully and then when you start an exercise, there’s an inbuilt rest time that automatically tells you the how long to rest meaning you don’t have to faff around with a stopwatch. Strongly recommended app!

The app is amazing and tailored for your weaknesses, it had helped me massively to pass the Royal Marines CPC, the app helped structure training that I normally wouldn’t do and helping me feel real explosive and also very strong with the endurance, also was the fastest on the hill sprints from the rest of the candidates and finished the endurance course with a lot left in the tank. Just finished up the Challenge with Mike and it's been great having something structured and tailored to help me work towards some specific goals. I've pushed on significantly more from having actual numbers written infront of me rather than estimating what I thought I should be doing.

It's also kept things more interesting with a much wider variety of exercises than I was previously undertaking. It's been night and day since before starting with him and can't recommend him highly enough.

Started on the challenge with Coach Mike during lockdown. What’s great is the challenge doesn’t begin until gyms reopen. He cares about each one of the people he trains. Numbers aren’t just generic, everything you do in testing he looks at and develops a complete personalised to you programme. Factoring in equipment, fitness levels, injures.
